ASIA Charitable Trust

ASIA CHARITABLE TRUST (ACT) was established in 1965. The activities of the trust are governed by a board of trustees comprising of prominent citizens from all walks of life led by the chairman.

ACT started its march to excellence with an English medium co-educational school established in 1965 on the ASIA Campus at Drive-in-Road, Ahmedabad. Since its inception, it has been imparting comprehensive education to the student community of Gujarat. In 2004, JG international school was established on the new International Campus of Excellence near S G Highway, Ahmedabad. With unstinted support and constant encouragement from the ACT headed by Chairman Shri. John Geevargese - a well-known philanthropist and an honourable man with extraordinary business acumen who has single-handedly created the architectural marvel called YMCA International Centre in Ahmedabad and also a recipient of several awards such as Global Leadership for Change and the Gaurav Puraskar from the Governor of Gujarat, the JG Group has grown by leaps and bounds. All the institutes under the umbrella of ACT have been offering varied programmes in several faculties like commerce, education, computers, business administration, nursing, physiotherapy and performing arts at bachelor's and master's levels.

All the institutions under ACT operate from its two state-of-the-art campuses in the midst of Ahmedabad. The well qualified trained and experienced faculty members have contributed greatly to the academic excellence in the colleges and schools.

Presently, the trust has under its umbrella two reputed schools and 18 undergraduate and postgraduate colleges thereby imparting education from Kinder Garten to Post Graduate level in various streams and disciplines.


JG Group of Colleges continuously endeavours to equip the students with the right skill and attitude that would help to develop maturity, understanding and wisdom. One can only foresee that the efforts of Management, faculty members and students will help carve a niche for itself soon.
